The void
Community Rules
The plain-language version. The binding rules live in the Terms.
VOID is where adults say true things without performing. It stays worth being in only if it stays safe. These are the rules.
Who can be here
VOID is 18+. If you're under 18, don't use VOID.
What's welcome
Confessions, thoughts, questions, the things you can't say out loud. Honesty is the point — including the heavy kind. You can say you're struggling. That's what the void is for, and it will never get you punished. If you share something hard, VOID may show you support options. That's care, not a report.
Adult content between adults is allowed in Stories. It's tagged, hidden until someone chooses to open it, and covered by every rule below.
Zero tolerance
Break these and you lose VOID — content removed, features limited, or your number banned:
- Nothing involving minors. No sexual content involving anyone under 18, no attempts to contact or solicit minors. This is preserved and reported as the law requires.
- No threats, violence, or blackmail. Don't threaten, incite, or plan harm to anyone — and never use threats or someone's secrets to demand money or anything else.
- No harassment, bullying, or hate. Don't target, pile on, intimidate, or attack people for who they are.
- No doxxing or contact details. Don't post anyone's identity, phone number, email, or location — including your own. VOID blocks private info in public text for this reason. To swap socials, use Reveal — that's what it's for.
- No encouraging self-harm. Struggling is welcome; encouraging, instructing, or glorifying self-harm or suicide is not.
- Nothing illegal. No illegal content, no arranging illegal activity, no selling drugs or other illegal substances.
- No spam, scams, or links. The void isn't a billboard, and links are how scams travel. Don't post URLs. Nothing is for sale here — including sex.
Identity is consent-only
Nobody sees who you are unless you both choose to reveal. Never pressure anyone to reveal, and don't try to identify, track, or unmask other users.
Your tools
Report any Story, reply, or Private Line — including reasons for minor safety and illegal content. Reports are reviewed, and urgent ones are prioritized. Block anyone, instantly and silently — they're never told. Under a Story's replies you can also mute someone just for you.
What enforcement looks like
Consequences are visible — VOID doesn't shadow-ban. Depending on severity: content removal, feature limits, or a ban tied to your number. Safety flags can pause VOID+ perks like the closest Radar tier while reports are reviewed — cleared reports restore it; upheld reports keep it off, without refund. Deleting your account doesn't lift a ban. To appeal, contact support@voidsocial.app.
Honesty about disappearing
Stories and their Comments vanish from VOID on their own. But content that's reported or flagged for safety can be preserved, and illegal content is preserved and reported as the law requires. Gone from the app is not the same as beyond the law.
If someone's in danger
VOID is not an emergency or crisis service and can't send help. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services — 000 in Australia, 911 in the US. If you're struggling, support lines like Lifeline (13 11 14, AU) and 988 (US) are there 24/7.
