Delete Your Account
You can delete your VOID account and data from inside the app, or contact us if you cannot access the app.
VOID is built to forget. Deleting your account removes your data from VOID, subject to the limited exceptions below.
Delete from inside the app
- Open VOID.
- Tap Vault in the bottom navigation.
- Open Menu, then choose Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account deletion request is processed by VOID.
Can’t open the app?
Email support@voidsocial.app with the subject “Delete my VOID account”. We may need to verify that the account is yours. Do not send passwords, SMS codes, or private message content by email.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in identifier, subject to the verification and safety exceptions below.
- Your active and stored content (signals, chats, Private Lines, voice).
- Linked social handles and push tokens.
- Your subscription link within VOID (cancel billing separately in your store — see below).
What is kept, honestly
Three narrow exceptions, so deletion can’t be used to escape the rules or the law:
- Enforcement record: a one-way hashed identifier is kept so that a banned or restricted account can’t reset its ban by deleting and re-registering. It can’t be reversed into your number.
- Safety and legal holds: evidence tied to a serious safety report is kept for its limited retention period, and child-safety material is preserved for one year as the law requires.
- Legal obligations: anything else we are legally required to keep, for as long as required — and no longer.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active VOID+ subscription. Cancel it in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings to stop future billing.
Timeline
Deletion takes effect promptly in the live service. Residual encrypted copies may remain temporarily in service-provider backups until those backups rotate under the provider’s standard schedule; they are not used in the product and are restored only if required for disaster recovery. Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.
